Diving is a Way of Life
About Us
AquaV's team has a vast amount of experience and is dedicated to your safety, We are committed to providing a high standard of diving skills and specialist PADI courses.

We welcome all qualified and non-divers from Merseyside and beyond, year-round, so you can train and learn at your own pace. We can be with you throughout your dive journey, from taking you on your first underwater adventure to the deepest depths with Tech Diving.
New open-water divers learn their scuba skills in the pool at Knowsley Leisure & Culture Park, before going out into an in-land quarry to complete their course. We also welcome experienced divers to use the pool to practice skills and test new equipment in a safe environment. We meet every Thursday 19.45-22.00 at Knowsley Leisure & Culture Park, Longview Drive, Huyton, L36 6EG (at times we may use another pool).

As a PADI 5 STAR DIVE CENTRE we can offer a range of PADI courses from the PADI Openwater to PADI rescue diver, you can find a full list on the Learn to Dive page, including all the specialities we can offer.

First aid training is provided by our first aid instructor Paula Bunner, a PADI dive master, who runs her own business teaching first aid.

Once qualified, you are welcome to join our AquaVenturers club where fellow divers arrange a number of dives, dive excursions and fun social events throughout the year. A great place to meet new friends and dive buddies!

Too cold to dive? We can conduct your classroom and pool work here in the UK and then you can complete your Open Water or Advanced Open Water course abroad as a referral.

If you want to know if scuba diving is for you why not come along and try Discover Suba or give us a call on 07982902627‬.

I started diving 9 yrs ago and soon realised my passion for the sport was in teaching and to help others experience the underwater adventure of diving.
I teach to the highest standards and always have time and patience for beginners.
I am also a very keen Wreck and Technical Diver.
Steve Robinson
PADI Staff Instructor
I have been diving for over 15 years
I decided 10 years ago to take my PADI Dive Master and have worked my way up the professional PADI ladder to PADI staff instructor, which I have been for the past 8 years.
I am also a technical dive instructor qualified to teach up to tech 45.
I enjoy meeting new divers, teaching them new skills, and I am always on hand to encourage and support you to develop your scuba diving skills over the years.
Scuba diving has introduced me to many new friends and taken me diving all over the world. I look forward to meeting you, and hopefully scuba diving will open your eyes to the wonders of our underwater world..
IanMullen
Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT)
I completed my open water in 2007 with Ste through AquaV, and from then on I was hooked. I now have over 400 dives under my belt and have passed many specialities.
I think the most enjoyable and rewarding course I have completed has to be the rescue course, I would recommend this to anyone, this led me to complete my Dive Master.
The highlight of my diving, apart from the nights out of course! have been some of the trips organised by Jeff and Glynn to Egypt, Anglesey, Plymouth and Scotland to name but a few. My best experience to date has been working with Paul Rose on a clean-up at Lake Windermere. This was with all the lads from the club which got us all on the news.

Dive Master and Admin (DSD Leader)
I have been diving since 2003. I am a PADI Dive Master with over 900 logged dives and I have completed numerous PADI specialties.

Diving has introduced me to many new people and I have made many close friends within the dive community. I find divers come from an array of different backgrounds and for me, scuba diving is about meeting new people and having fun, as well as the diving. I have dived all over the world and most of the inland dive sites in the UK.

Hope to see you soon.
Mark Billington
Dive Master (DSD Leader)
My first adventure into diving was in 2007 when I passed my PADI open water course and since joining the Aquaventures Dive Club I have never looked back.

I have been lucky enough to dive on numerous trips around the UK and in more exotic climates abroad.

Over the years I have completed various specialities with AquaV which has led me to complete my Dive Master course so I can help future generations of divers young and old experience the underwater world.

With so much to see and explore under the sea, I believe everyone should have the opportunity to scuba dive.
Carl Blakeman
Dive Master (DSD Leader)
I started diving in 2011 when on holiday and enjoyed it so much that on my return I immediately signed up for the PADI Open Water course with AquaV Scuba Diving School.

Being part of AquaV Scuba Diving Club has led me to dive in many different locations around the world, and experience all sorts of marine life and shipwrecks, from sharks and dolphins to world war two ships.

I am currently a Dive Master with over 500 logged dives, and what I enjoy most about teaching is seeing people’s reactions when they breathe underwater for the first time.

Hopefully, see you soon ........

Dive Master (DSD Leader)
I’ve been diving for 10 years now after passing my Open Water course with AquaV Scuba Diving School.

Since then I’ve taken various specialities including wreck, deep, navigation, Nitrox, dry suit, and emergency oxygen provider.

I also took the Rescue Diver course on my way to becoming a Divemaster.
I love the underwater world especially when we go on club trips to places like Egypt.

Helping to train new divers with AquaV gives me a buzz as I get to see people become hooked on diving just like I did.
Liam Wyatt
Dive Master
I am the club’s resident tech expert well all things website and IT related that is! When I am not sat at a computer I am thinking about where I can go diving.
I took up scuba diving as a hobby so my wife and dive buddy Lynne could do something together especially while we are on holiday. Fast forward a few years and a couple of amazing dive holidays with the club, and here I am, a PADI Dive Master

I love helping people discover the underwater world of scuba diving, for me it’s one of the best places to be, it helps me relax and switch off from the hectic world of work by marvelling at colours and life that not many people are privileged to see in real life. I have even taken up learning more about the life which inhabits the oceans around the world.

I feel very lucky to have made some good friends and memories through diving. I would never have thought when booking a holiday, my wife and I now think can we take our dive kit instead of what the pool and sun loungers are like!
